Resident’s Change of Condition (Nurses)

$25.00$32.00

Program Overview: The focus of this program is on identifying the early warning signs of a resident’s change of condition, understanding what those signs mean, and having the knowledge to react appropriately to support the resident’s best health and quality of life.
The program begins with learning how to obtain and document each resident’s baseline status. This baseline can then be used to compare to the resident’s future status to identify significant changes. Content includes review of the most common areas of a resident’s physical and non-physical status that signal a change of condition may be occurring. It addresses signs and symptoms to watch for in each of the key areas of resident function. Participants who view the program will also gain insight into monitoring for change of condition in residents who have dementia. The SBAR method of reporting and documenting observations and concerns is reviewed.
Program content presents how to recognize and respond to the early signs and symptoms that signal change of status related to UTI, sepsis, stroke, pneumonia, CHF, MI, thrombosis, and much more.
