The Basics of EKG Tracing and Arrhythmias

The Basics of EKG Tracing and Arrhythmias course is not meant to replace Advanced Life Support. It is designed to help the learner understand the anatomy and physiology of the heart and the electrical conduction system.

By the end of the course, the learner will be able to understand the components of an electrocardiogram tracing strip and identify some of the most common abnormal heart rhythms such as sinus, atrial, ventricular, junctional, heart blocks, ectopic and other miscellaneous rhythms.

This course has been reviewed and approved by NAB/NCERS for 1.0 administrator CE and the Florida Board of Nursing for 1.0 nursing CE.
