The Origin of Fraud

This program provides administrators with the following information:
– the role of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and Department of Justice (DOJ) in preventing and responding to fraud, waste, and abuse of government funds;
– the value of a facility’s compliance and ethics program and required components;
– about Medicaid fraud control units and Medicare and DOJ fraud strike forces;
– Federal monitoring of nursing homes;
– CMS nursing home enforcement and remedies as applied to survey deficiency scope and severity levels;
– an overview of Federal compliance-related laws; and
– how to respond to and interact with government agents and investigators if they arrive at the facility.

This is approved by NAB/NCERS for a total of 1 CE and the Florida Board of Nursing for 1 nursing credit for those who successfully complete the program.
